Meet Kyle Nudo

READY TO RESTORE THE AMERICAN DREAM

Deeply rooted in Illinois

Growing up in Southern Illinois, Kyle spent his childhood fishing, riding his BMX, leaping from the Bluffs into the Mississippi and doing chores on his grandparents New Canton Farm. Thanks to Grampy, Kyle knows how to tend sheep, plant fruit trees and run fences. From the strong example set by his family, Kyle learned the importance of hard work, helping your neighbors and standing by your community.

Kyle lost all his grandparents by the age of twenty-three and his mother at the age twenty-five after a three-year battle with bone marrow cancer. No matter where life has taken him, Kyle has kept the lessons learned from them close. The need to do work that benefits all communities that his mother exemplified in her position as the Executive Director of Southwestern Illinois Easter Seals. The call to service that his father answered as a Marine Corps Veteran in Vietnam. The pride felt from a good day’s work on the land instilled in him from his grandparents and a passion for eliminating unfair business practices he got when Grampy explained about companies like Monsanto and the chokehold they’ve put on family farms.

As a small business owner, and proud member of three unions, Kyle collaborated with stakeholders and skilled tradespeople while keeping worker health and well-being at the forefront of every deal. He’s created – and balanced – seven-figure budgets, spearheaded initiatives to eliminate wage theft, and collaborated with law enforcement to end illegal business practices all while helping workers get the respect they’ve earned.

Why He’s Running

From hospital closures to farms struggling against disappearing markets and corporate monopolies, our families in the Illinois 15th face challenges like never before. The American Dream has become just too hard to achieve. Where a single income is powerful enough to raise your family and economic prosperity, justice and freedom are never out of reach.

Kyle has listened to the uncertainty plaguing our farmers, to parents’ inflation concerns, veterans angry about long waits and even longer drives for care, and students’ worries about their futures. He understands the pain of watching loved ones forced to battle disease and a shrinking medical system that places profits above patients’ lives. These problems aren’t being solved and Kyle’s running to change that.

Kyle’s vision for us:

A country where hard work is rewarded. Fair wages are not the exception. They are the rule. Healthcare is available in your community and our government is focused on growing opportunities for you and generations to come.

Kyle will show up and do the work and, like his mother taught him, he’ll make sure no one gets left behind.
